Prenatal Yoga
Prenatal Class Description
Prenatal yoga is a gentle, safe, and supportive class in which the classic yoga postures are modified for the changing needs of the expectant mother. Focus is on developing strength, flexibility, proper breathing, and an inner peace as preparation for birth and motherhood. Each class opens with a sharing circle to allow you to freely discuss the exciting new changes you and baby are experiencing as well as the discomforts and concerns that arise.
Like all classes at Capitol Hill Yoga, Prenatal yoga classes are drop-in based and no prior yoga experience is necessary. We encourage expectant moms to join our prenatal classes as early in your pregnancy as you wish (and remind you to always let your instructor know you are pregnant if joining an open class). It is exciting to join together women in all stages of pregnancy & we often have moms attending class up until the final day of pregnancy.
To uplift the bond and community held within the class we ask that only expecting mothers attend the class.
Weekly Prenatal Class Schedule
We offer two prenatal classes per week for our expectant mothers. Each prenatal teacher brings her own unique experience and training with women, birth and yoga to the class. Click here for class pricing details.
